VVTKD INSTRUCTOR

MR. ETHRON T. YOUNG III

II DAN BLACK BELT
CERTIFIED USTF CLASS "C" INSTRUCTOR
CLASS "B" REFEREE
NATIONAL GOLD MEDALIST (2009)

I specialize in video production and recently moved to Longview
from the Portland area with my family. I have been actively
practicing Taekwon-Do for over 10 years, two of which as the
head instructor of a school in Vancouver, Wa.

I teach Taekwon-Do because I love the lifestyle and I want to
share it with the world. This art is about more than just self
defense. It is also about striving to be a better person. It is
about physical, mental, and social healthiness. The skills
learned in Taekwon-Do can be utilized in all aspects of life to
drive success and foster more healthy relationships with people
and the world around you.

I have a special interest in technique and strive to follow the
standards set by Grand Master Winegar, IX Dan Director of Technique
for the United States Taekwon-Do Federation. I also look up to my
instructor Sr. Master Mason, VIII Dan black belt from Battleground
Wa who will be continuing my training as we travel along this
amazing lifelong journey.

I started Taekwon-Do in 1997 and trained with Mr. Jason Taylor at
Crystal Lake Taekwon-Do in Milwaukie Oregon. I recieved my first
black belt from Mr. Taylor in 1999 and shortly after took a break
to focus on college and starting my video production career.

In 2007 I began training with Master Jim and Mary-Ann Stewart at
Vancouver Taekwon-Do and they trained me to my second black belt.
In 2010 I took over and rebranded Lake Shore Taekwon-Do but after
only two years of teaching, I had to take another break so I could
be there more for my children on the way. Now that the kids are
old enough, I am excited to be here to continue sharing this
amazing art with you and even some of my kids who have now joined
me on this amazing journey.

TAEKWON!
